Elfershausen/Munich, 15.05.2019 – Following yesterday’s ruling by the European Court of Justice, companies are to be obliged to systematically record all of their employees’ working hours. Reactions to the ruling have been correspondingly drastic. In an initial statement, the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations (BDA) warned that the requirements of the world of work 4.0 cannot be met with working time recording 1.0. As a specialist in HR solutions, ZMI GmbH sees this as a key question: how can HR software for Time & Attendance help companies to give their employees more flexibility while complying with the legal framework?
“We believe that our solutions already address precisely these needs of employers and employees alike,” says Daniel Vogler, Managing Partner of ZMI. When it comes to offering flexible working time models and home office arrangements for employees, which also positively support the work-life balance, the trend in German companies is rising across all sectors. Location-independent and flexible working models have already led to a significant increase in demand for web-based Employee Self Services and mobile apps for Time & Attendance at ZMI in recent months.
In an environment of increasing flexibility in organizations, work structures and working hours, the solutions from ZMI help to maintain the digital flow of information to employees and support companies in the legally compliant implementation of Work 4.0. In addition, ZMI has also implemented functions in its current release of the time recording solution that take into account the needs of employees in terms of a good work-life balance.
Working time recording can also be accompanied by digital recording of project and order times. This ensures greater transparency in the post-calculation of projects or enables the digital transfer of data directly to the invoice. “The classic timesheet on paper has finally had its day. The recent ECJ ruling brings these aspects to the attention of decision-makers and is an opportunity for companies to actively address these issues,” concludes Daniel Vogler.
ZMI has become a leading solution provider for HR, organization and security. The portfolio includes industry-neutral software, stationary and mobile hardware terminals as well as mobile apps for personnel time recording, digital personnel files, access control, workflow management, project and order time recording, personnel resource planning as well as merchandise management and customer relationship management (CRM). All applications are available as a cloud solution (SaaS) and on-premises.
The company was founded in 1996 and today has more than 30 employees. ZMI already serves over 1,200 customers in the DACH region from all industries and company sizes from 3 to more than 13,000 employees. In addition to its headquarters in Elfershausen, ZMI GmbH has branches in Hamburg, Nuremberg, Munich, Stuttgart and Vienna. In addition to software and hardware, ZMI also offers comprehensive service in terms of consulting, project management, training and customer support.
