Bavaria’s Digital Minister Judith Gerlach MdL visits ZMI

Elfershausen, 06.08.2020 – As part of her summer tour, the Minister of State for Digital Affairs, Judith Gerlach MdL, visited ZMI GmbH at its headquarters in Elfershausen together with Sandro Kirchner MdL, Member of Parliament, and District Administrator Thomas Bold. During her visit, the Digital Minister learned about the company’s solutions for the digitalization of HR work and the flexibilization of working time models. Judith Gerlach sees these tools as making a decisive contribution to helping young parents return to work: “Flexible working models in terms of location and time are a key success factor if we in business and public administration do not want to do without well-qualified specialists who have just started a family.”

In addition to current trends and changes in the world of work, the current situation in the coronavirus crisis was also a topic of discussion. “We also believe that COVID-19 has accelerated digitalization efforts in almost all companies,” says Managing Partner Daniel Vogler. “However, many initiatives relating to working from home and flexible working hours were already in place before the crisis.” Steffen Berger, Managing Partner, adds: “In the future, topics such as employee orientation and work-life balance will continue to gain in importance. It will be crucial for employers to find a way to reconcile the individual needs of their employees with the smooth running of their own business processes. Digital solutions are an important building block in the implementation of this.”
