How does mobile time tracking work?

ZMI’s mobile time tracking works easily via the ZMI – App for iOS and Android. Employees can record their working hours, travel or project times directly on their smartphone – even without an internet connection, as the app is offline-capable and automatically synchronizes the data later. Functions such as GPS tracking, team or project bookings and workflow requests for leave or corrections can also be used. Alternatively, the ZMI – WebClient (employee portal) is available in the browser, which can also be used to conveniently record times, absences or corrections online.

Yes, ZMI calculates overtime automatically and transparently. The software takes into account the working time models stored in the company, such as flexitime, shift work or fixed weekly hours. This means that each employee can clearly see when overtime is due. If desired, these can also be secured through approval processes, so that a clearly regulated and legally compliant procedure is possible.

The Federal Labor Court obliges employers to record all working hours. With ZMI, the start, end and breaks of daily working hours can be reliably documented – regardless of whether they are recorded at the terminal, on the web or via an app. In this way, ZMI ensures that companies comply with the legal requirements of the ECJ and BAG ruling and have legally compliant documentation of working hours at all times.

According to legal requirements, working hours must be archived for at least two years. This applies not only to regular working hours, but also to overtime, breaks and absences. ZMI ensures that the data is stored in an audit-proof manner and can be retrieved at any time so that companies can reliably fulfill their retention obligations.

Yes, the ZMI software has a modular structure and can be flexibly expanded at any time. Companies can start with the basic solution for time tracking and later add further modules such as project and order time tracking, staff scheduling, digital personnel files or access control. In this way, the solution grows with the company’s requirements and offers long-term investment security.
