Elfershausen/Berlin, 23.03.2018 – In mid-March 2018, the Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum IT-Wirtschaft (KIW) began its work with around 200 participants at the opening event in Berlin. In addition to a welcome address from the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Brigitte Zypries, the agenda also included a panel discussion on corporate cooperation in the SME IT sector, in which the managing partner of ZMI GmbH, Steffen Berger, took part. The discussion focused on the opportunities and challenges of digitalization for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In this context, Steffen Berger emphasized that even small and medium-sized companies can benefit from the digitalization of their HR business processes. “If business models are now being digitalized across the various sectors in the SME sector, the HR area must not be left out. Experience shows that the return on investment is achieved very quickly if we digitize processes in the area of personnel time recording that are still paper-based today,” explains Steffen Berger.
This is because the flexibilization of work structures and working hours is also gradually increasing. ZMI’s portfolio also offers comprehensive solutions such as mobile apps that support these developments. “In addition to suitable software solutions, the partner in this area should also offer companies support with implementation through comprehensive change management,” concludes Berger.
