Elfershausen/Munich, 09.04.2018 – Massak Logistik GmbH relies on digital solutions from ZMI and PCS for access control and time tracking. The specialist for prisoner purchasing handles the recording and picking of shopping baskets for inmates in prisons throughout Germany and therefore operates in a security-critical environment. The company was therefore looking for an overall solution for access control and time tracking that could map the high security requirements, which are also associated with numerous certification measures.
The solution from ZMI and PCS impressed with its ability to implement extensive protective measures such as the definition of security zones and integration with the intruder alarm system (IAS). With the online access control system ZMI – Zutritt, individual access times can be defined for each door, area and employee or employee group. These authorizations affect the INTUS 600 access readers from PCS in real time, which secure all access points to the individual security areas. Massak Logistik is also able to evaluate all security-relevant events at any time via a reporting system.
Another added value for the company was to map access control and time tracking in an integrated system. With the ZMI solution, duplicate master data maintenance and the time-consuming administration of different RFID media are a thing of the past. The INTUS 5205 for modern workforce management from PCS is used to record working times. At the same time, various HR processes have been successfully digitized with the implementation of ZMI – Time.
