Steffen Berger founded ZMI in 1996 with the aim of advancing the digitalization of personnel time recording. ZMI is one of the first companies in Germany to specialize in software solutions for recording working time using terminals.
Today, more than 70 employees across Germany work to support companies from a wide range of industries in the digitalization of their HR and security processes. More than 1,700 customers in the DACH region rely on our solutions – from small businesses with 15 employees to large companies with over 15,000 employees.

Yes, the ZMI – WebClient is a responsive web application and can be used on PCs, tablets and smartphones without the need for an additional installation.
The WebClient supports digital applications for vacation, flexitime, business trips, training and booking corrections.
Employees submit their vacation requests directly in the WebClient. After approval by the supervisor, the leave is automatically entered in the calendar.
Yes, the ZMI – WebClient allows the individual configuration of workflows per application type, employee or department, including single or multi-stage decision processes.
For applications in the ZMI – WebClient, notifications can be sent flexibly by email or directly in the portal. In addition, individual workflows with automatic reminders and escalations can be set up so that everyone involved is informed of the status at all times.
