A key instrument here is the mandatory electronic recording of working hours. <\/p><p>According to \u00a7 6 GSA Meat, companies in the meat industry are <b>obliged to comply<\/b>:<\/p><ul><li>The start, end and duration of the daily working time must be recorded electronically,<\/li><li>document the working time on the day the work is actually performed,<\/li><li>store the recorded data in a tamper-proof manner,<\/li><li>to keep the evidence for at least two years and<\/li><li>to make the data available to the supervisory authorities on request.<\/li><\/ul><p>Paper-based timesheets, Excel lists or retrospective collective records are therefore <b>not permitted<\/b>. The obligation applies regardless of the size of the company and particularly affects companies in the: <\/p><ul><li>Slaughter,<\/li><li>Disassembly and<\/li><li>Meat processing.<\/li><\/ul><h2>Clear obligation for companies in the meat industry<\/h2><h3>No freedom of choice for time tracking<\/h3><p>In contrast to many other sectors, there is no freedom of organization here:<\/p><ul><li>Trust-based working hours are excluded<\/li><li>Blanket time assumptions are inadmissible<\/li><li>Working hours must be recorded objectively, completely and promptly<\/li><\/ul><div> <\/div><p>Companies bear full responsibility for <b>proper documentation<\/b>, especially in the case of audits.<\/p><h3>High control density and risk of sanctions<\/h3><p>The meat industry is a particular focus of the authorities.
